Our in-house managed DNS service — fast anycast resolution worldwide, with health-checked failover, DNSSEC and an API-first dashboard for every domain we run.
The brief
DNS sits under everything we host, yet we were leaning on third-party providers with slow propagation, clunky APIs and no real visibility. A bad record or a sluggish resolver could take a client offline, so we decided to own this layer ourselves.
What we built
DNSws is a managed DNS platform: an anycast resolver network that answers queries from the nearest node, with DNSSEC, health-checked failover and geo and weighted routing built in. Records are managed through a clean dashboard and a full API, changes propagate in seconds, and query analytics show exactly what's being resolved and from where.
The outcome
DNSws now answers from 30+ anycast nodes at under 10ms median query latency with 100% resolution uptime. Propagation is near-instant, failover is automatic, and DNS is one less dependency we hand to someone else.
