The brief
Every product we ship sends email — receipts, alerts, newsletters, password resets — and we were renting that from third parties with opaque deliverability and per-email pricing that stung at scale. We wanted our own mail service we could trust to actually reach the inbox.
What we built
Web Mail Gun handles the full email stack: a clean SMTP and REST API for transactional and bulk sending, hosted mailboxes and domains, drag-and-drop templates, and automatic DKIM, SPF and DMARC setup with dedicated IPs and warm-up to protect deliverability. Real-time analytics track opens, clicks, bounces and complaints, suppression lists stay clean automatically, and webhooks feed events straight back into product systems.
The outcome
Web Mail Gun now sends 2B+ emails a month with 99.2% inbox placement and delivery in under two seconds. Email went from an unpredictable outsourced cost to dependable infrastructure we own — and our messages land where they should.
