The brief
We wanted to build a dating app we'd actually want our friends to use — one that rewards intention over endless swiping, takes safety seriously, and feels warm rather than transactional. So we made it ourselves.
What we built
Date Cab pairs a considered onboarding with compatibility-led matching: profiles built around prompts rather than just photos, an algorithm that learns from real conversations, and live chat with read states and icebreakers. Photo verification, in-app reporting and granular privacy controls are core, not afterthoughts, and the whole experience is fast and accessible on every device.
The outcome
Date Cab has grown to 250k+ members who've made 1.2M+ matches, holding a 4.7-star rating across stores. Conversations last longer and unmatches are fewer than category norms — the signal that intention-first design is working.
