The brief
CCTV usually means a clunky DVR, an app that barely works off-site, and a separate scramble to source the right hardware. We wanted one service that did it all — reliable live and recorded video from anywhere, genuinely useful alerts, and a simple way to buy the cameras to begin with.
What we built
OZCams streams live and recorded footage to any device over low-latency WebRTC, with secure cloud recording and a clear multi-camera live wall. Edge AI turns raw motion into meaningful person, vehicle and zone alerts to cut false alarms, and role-based access keeps sites and teams separated. A built-in shop portal lets customers buy cameras, NVRs and kits that pair to their account in a couple of taps — hardware and software in one place.
The outcome
OZCams now keeps 40k+ cameras online with sub-second live latency and 30 days of rolling cloud recording. Customers watch their sites from anywhere, get alerts that actually matter, and buy and provision new cameras straight from the shop — no installer visit required.
